Chakras
Chakras are energy centers in the body. These energy centers influence physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. Blocked chakras may mean that sickness or disease is present.
When a chakra is blocked the energy within that chakra is stagnant, also affecting parts of the body and organs connected to that chakra.
Chakra is a Sanskrit term that means wheel. Chakras are spinning wheels of energy/light. Sanskrit is an ancient Indo-European language of India. Each chakra has a Sanskrit name and meaning.
There are many known chakras, but generally we focus on the main 7:
*crown chakra - purple
*third eye chakra - indigo
*throat chakra - blue
*heart chakra - green
*solar plexus chakra - yellow
*sacral chakra - orange
*root chakra - red
When trying to balance our chakras we want to try to consume foods from the "rainbow diet" that corresponds with the colors from each chakra. The rainbow diet consists of fruits and vegetables of different colors.
Chakras are focus points that lead into meditation, healing, alignment and balance. Daily meditation is essential when trying to balance chakras. Meditation takes practice, but it helps us to focus our minds, relax our bodies, balance our chakras and connect with the soul.
